A Call for Change in Technical Department Scheduling
We, the undersigned members of Celebrity Cruises' Technical Department, formally express our loss of confidence in the current scheduling management and demand immediate corrective action.
Under the current scheduler, Spencer Collins, we have experienced persistent problems with communication, organization, and accountability. Emails go unanswered, requests are ignored, and decisions affecting our professional and personal lives are made with seemingly little consideration for their consequences.
Scheduling is not simply about filling positions on a spreadsheet. It is about managing people's lives.
We have families, partners, children, and commitments beyond our contracts. Our lives do not begin and end at the gangway.
We are expected to demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and dedication every day. We have every right to expect the same from those responsible for our schedules.
Unfortunately, the current standard of scheduling has repeatedly fallen short of these expectations.
Our confidence in Spencer Collins' ability to effectively fulfill the responsibilities of this position has been lost.
We therefore call upon Celebrity Cruises management to take immediate action and appoint a competent, accountable, and responsive professional to oversee Technical Department scheduling.
We are not asking for favors or special treatment.
We are demanding the professionalism, respect, and consideration that every employee deserves.
